(According to the Greater Bay Area Times, special correspondent Xu Shuihuo)April22th，International petrochemical giant ExxonMobil held a "cloud start" ceremony for the Guangdong Huizhou ethylene project invested and constructed in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Han Zheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended and announced the start of the project. ExxonMobil Chairman and CEO Woodrow attended the project groundbreaking ceremony in Dallas, USA via video link in "two countries and three locations".
This is another billion dollar foreign-owned major petrochemical project in Guangdong, following the BASF fine chemical integration project in Donghai Island, Zhanjiang. The project is located in Daya Bay Petrochemical Zone, which is one of the seven key petrochemical industry bases for national development. It has the largest scale of integrated refining and chemical production in the country and ranks first in comprehensive strength among China's chemical industrial parks. It has gathered dozens of world-renowned companies500Strong enterprises and industry leaders have laid a solid industrial foundation for project construction.
